Bernie LeBlanc says he is looking forward to working with the various stakeholders to address some of the major challenges facing Canadian airports, including the significant bleed to U.S. airports.

[SAINT JOHN, NB] — The Canadian Airports Council, a division of Airports Council International – North America, has a new vice chair for the over 200 airports it represents in Canada.

Bernie LeBlanc, president and CEO of the Saint John Airport, was elected vice chair of the organization at its annual meeting held in Toronto.  The organization is the voice for Canada’s airports, and its members represent virtually all of the nation’s air cargo, international and domestic passenger traffic.

Since joining the Saint John Airport in 2008, LeBlanc has become immersed in community and industry associations. He has been a board member for a variety of organizations including the Atlantic Canada Airports Association, the New Brunswick Research and Productivity Council, and the Saint John Rotary Club.

LeBlanc holds a Masters in Business Administration and is a professional engineer registered in New Brunswick and Ontario.

“I look forward to working with the various stakeholders to address some of the major challenges facing Canadian Airports, most notably, the significant bleed to U.S. airports,” said LeBlanc.
