[FREDERICTON, NB] — A New Brunswick mortgage broker has been charged with fraud.

The RCMP say William Watson Priest-Phillips of Nackawic, N.B., and his company, Priest Phillips Management Corp., were both charged Tuesday with one count each of fraud over $5,000 and one count of uttering forged documents.

The company operated in Fredericton and Nackawic.

The company was operating under the name of DLC Priest Financial and the banner Dominion Lending Centre, while operating in the Fredericton area.

RCMP Insp. Lise Roussel says the charges involve mortgage fraud, but no other details were released.

The RCMP say the charges were laid after a five-month investigation with Fredericton police and the New Brunswick Securities Commission.
